Masterclass: Supply chain, from prototype to supplier
Season two opens with the session members asked for most: finding, vetting and negotiating with a manufacturer, and what it really costs to land a pallet in Edmonton.
- When
- Thursday, September 17 at 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- Where
- The board room

Taught by two founders who manufacture overseas and domestically, and a sourcing agent who has walked more factory floors than she can count. The evening runs end to end: production-ready drawings, finding suppliers in three regions, the MOQ conversation, samples and pre-shipment inspection, and a landed-cost sheet you fill in with your own numbers before you leave. One thing it will say early: before you pay a factory for a prototype, ask whether Alberta Innovates or NAIT’s Productivity and Innovation Centre will pay for it. Often they will.
Bring your prototype or drawings and any quotes you have. Eighteen seats, members first; day passes get in if there is room on the night. None of the guests pays to be in the room, and none is a Z-incubator partner.
Hosted by Two manufacturing founders and a sourcing agent.
Part of the programme: 05 · Supply chain: from prototyping to securing a supplier.
